I have always struggled with weight. I have been so busy working, going to school, being a wife and mother that I never took anytime for myself. I have smoked cigarettes most of my adult life (minus quitting when pregnant). I am the person that ate McDonald’s 4 times a day just to try to win the monopoly game. I am the mom that said “I have no time to work out!” or “We cannot afford to eat healthy!” When my daughter was born I was at my highest weight of 226lbs. Wow, what a journey, I don’t know where to begin. Let’s see…I had a rough few years, and of course stress, not exercising, and unhealthy eating took its toll on my body and before I knew it I had put on 40 pounds. It’s not hard to do. You just push your smaller clothes to the back of the closet and buy new ones here and there and you never notice the size difference. You wear those spandex body suits under your dresses to hold it all in despite not being able to breathe. You wear bigger shirts to hide everything. Basically you adjust because it’s easier to do that than to confront it or do something about it. Then friends and family take pictures and you look at them and hardly recognize yourself. When I met Rob 8 months ago, I was 176 pounds and wearing a size 16. I didn’t believe I was going to lose any weight but figured I would try it anyway. I was so wrong! I started to see results quickly! His gym is nothing like a regular gym and the workouts are like nothing I had ever done before. At other gyms, I would get bored easily and skip out on workouts; with Rob, the workouts are always challenging but never boring. I have met awesome people who are a lot of fun to workout with.
